Congregation Website & Workspace
UU Shenandoah, a congregation in Stephens City, VA, had an outdated website that didn't match the church's vibrant and welcoming identity. With input from members, I created a fresh, new digital home for UU Shenandoah, including a redesigned logo, intuitive navigation, and seamless content management. In addition to launching Google Workspace for church committees, I provided hybrid technical assistance to members and volunteers.
Worship Technology
Harrisonburg Unitarian Universalists wanted to maintain a hybrid service post-COVID, ensuring that homebound attendees and visitors could have an accessible worship experience. Since 2022, I've provided hands-on tech support, including operation of multiple computers, cameras, and televisions, as well as advising on technology policies and training.
Fundraising Support
Adagio House, a Harrisonburg, VA-based nonprofit, needed to increase public awareness and direct giving. I provided development strategy, copywriting, and graphic design for fundraising appeals, capturing Adagio's unique proposition as an inclusive community that serves caregivers and their disabled loved ones. I also provided technical assistance for transitioning their database to a new giving platform, including website integration.
Teacher Resources
The Center for Inquiry, a national organization that promotes critical thinking, wanted to increase their reach to science teachers seeking classroom resources. I provided a comprehensive analysis of existing curriculum resources, then developed a unifying pedagogical framework using role-based play. Redesigned lesson plans were then shared directly with teachers via the popular content platform TPT, boosting CFI's reach to new teachers by the hundreds.
Congregation Website & Support
The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Waynesboro needed a fresh website and improved content organization. From 2013-2019, I served as the congregation's webmaster, including implementation of a custom WP theme. I further served the congregation on its Membership and Communications committees, the Mission and Vision Task Force, and Service Auction team.
Voiceover and Fundraising Support
Sociocracy for All, an international organization that promotes equitable governance, wanted to create an accessible explainer video that could be easily understood by speakers of different languages. As a trained Sociocracy facilitator, I provided script feedback and voiceover talent for the training video. I also served SoFA's Fundraising Circle to develop and launch the 2020 year-end campaign, including strategy, copywriting, and direct solicitation.
